Scrub fire at Reedy Creek

Issued for REEDY CREEK near Kingston in the Lower South East.

The CFS is responding to scrub fire at Reedy Creek near Kingston in the Lower South East, South Australia.

Sixteen CFS volunteers on 4 trucks, supported by aircraft and Forest Industry Brigade firefighters, are on scene working to extinguish the fire.

The fire may be causing a lot of smoke in the area, and community members are urged to take care by closing all windows and doors.

South Australia is experiencing a significant number of dry lightning strikes, and the CFS urges anyone who sees an unattended fire to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
