Scrub Fire Reedy Creek

Issued for REEDY CREEK near Kingston in the Lower South East.

The CFS continues to respond to a scrub fire at Reedy Creek near Kingston in the Lower South East, South Australia.

Warmer weather is causing more fire activity. Twenty CFS volunteer firefighters, in a joint response with National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), are currently on the fireground, working to contain the fire with support from 6 aircraft, including water bombing and observation aircraft.

More CFS firefighters are on their way to help with the operations, and they will be supported by additional incoming crews from NPWS.

Smoke is impacting roads in the area, and visibility may be reduced. To ensure your safety and that of firefighters and other emergency personnel who are working in the area, please do not enter the area unless necessary.
