Reeves Plains Haystack Fire

The CFS is on scene at a haystack fire in Reeves Plains, approximately 10 kilometres north west of Gawler in Adelaide's north.

Volunteer firefighters on three trucks and a bulk water carrier are working to extinguish the fire, which is burning in approximately 50 large square haybales.

Firefighters have prevented the fire from spreading to a nearby shed and saved a further 30 hay bales in a different stack nearby.

The fire is producing a large amount of smoke and is expected to burn into tomorrow.

SA Police have also been on scene assisted firefighting crews.
