Crews contain fast moving grassfire
ISSUED FOR SADDLEWORTH
The CFS advises that the Saddleworth Fire near Auburn Road and Washington Road, 5 KM West of the Saddleworth Township has now been controlled and a reduced threat notification has been issued.
Approximately 70 Volunteers firefighters, 14 CFS appliances and 2 fixed wing aircraft have been able to contain the fire to 78ha of grassland. No assets have been impacted and no live stock were injured.
Firefighters are actively patrolling and mopping up to prevent any further outbreaks.
