Structure Fire

ISSUED FOR SUNLANDS

The SA Country Fire Service (CFS) advises people in the Sunlands/Ramco area near Waikerie in the Riverland that a large amount of smoke is visible from this fire.

The cause of the smoke is due to a structure fire on a rural property in the Sunlands/Ramco area. The shed contains numerous chemicals which are adding to the large amount of smoke.

Crews are utilising foam to suppress the structure fire in order to reduce the amount of smoke being emitted.

As a precaution residents in the area who suffer from respiratory or cardiac conditions may wish to consider closing all doors and windows and remain in doors.

It is also advised that all members of the public should avoid this area where possible.
