TAILEM BEND FIRE

Issued for TAILEM BEND near in the Murraylands, South Australia.

CFS fire fighters are currently attending a grassfire on the side of the Princes Highway, west of Tailem Bend.

Eight CFS fire appliances with 30 firefighters are currently working to extinguish the fire, supported by aerial fire bombers and observational aircraft.

Crews will remain on scene for some time mopping up and preventing any rekindling.

This fire may be causing smoke in the area, and members of the community are urged to take care, particularly if driving. Stay up to date with the most current information on the cfs website cfs.sa.gov.au.
