TARLEE FIRE UPDATE

ISSUED FOR TARLEE

CFS advises that a fire is burning in stubble in a creek line near the Horrocks Highway, approximately 3km South East of the Tarlee township.

The fire spread has been stopped, but there may still be fire burning freely within the fire perimeter. CFS crews are actively working on this fireground. There is currently no threat to public safety or property.

Approximately 58 CFS personnel are in attendance with 20 Farm Fire Units, with support of aircraft. CFS crews will remain at the scene until the fire is fully extinguished.

Visibility may be reduced as there is smoke visible in the area.

To ensure your safety and that of firefighters and other emergency personnel who are working in the area, please do not enter the area unless necessary.
