Scrub fire in remote area of Taylorville Station
There is a scrub fire at Taylorville Station, northeast of Waikerie, in the Riverland of South Australia.
Approximately 18 CFS firefighters in six trucks, supported by machinery, are currently working to contain the fire. The fire has burned 200 hectares of remote scrub and access to the fire ground is difficult.
Crews will work overnight to minimise the spread of the fire and smoke will be visible in the area for a number of days. This fire is not suspicious and is believed to have been started by lightning activity in the area.
