Update on fire near Tilley Swamp
ISSUED FOR TILLEY SWAMP
The CFS is attending a scrub and grass fire which has impacted into the Tilley Swamp Conservation Park and has burnt approximately 550ha, the fire is approximately 40km north of Kingston SE, in the State's Upper South East.
The CFS, supported by National Parks and Wildlife service, have 80 firefighters, 20 trucks, 2 heavy plant and approximately 10 farm fire units on scene and are being assisted by 6 aircraft. The fire is still actively burning within the boundaries of the Tilley Swamp Conservation Park.
The Princes Highway is closed to traffic, please avoid traveling through the area. Smoke will be visible from Princes Highway north and south of the fire.
