Scrub Fire
Issued for Tulka 14km south west of Port Lincoln in the Lincoln Conservation Park near Port Lincoln on the Lower Eyre Peninsula.
There is a scrub fire currently burning in the Lincoln Conservation Park near Port Lincoln on the Lower Eyre Peninsula, South Australia.
SA Country Fire Service and the Department for Environment and Water are currently working to suppress the fire with support of aircraft and machinery. Earth breaks are being created ahead of the fire, with a focus on preparing for future predicted weather conditions.
The township of Tulka is currently not under threat from this fire, which is confined to the conservation park.
This fire will continue to cause smoke in the area throughout today, and the community are urged to keep up to date through the CFS website.
