The SA Country Fire Service is responding to an uncontrolled grass fire near South Coast Road and Bergs Road in Tumby Bay. The fire has burnt 31 hectares so far and is heading in a North Easterly direction towards the coast.
There are 3 trucks, 2 quick response vehicles, 1 command car, 1 bulk water carrier and numerous farm fire units on the scene. Aircraft are also assisting.
While crews continue to work on containing the blaze, the community is encouraged to avoid this area.
