An incident update
ISSUED FOR WESTERN FLAT
The CFS is attending a pine residue fire at Broadview Road Western Flat in the Upper South East of South Australia. The fire is approximately 80 hectares in area and has been contained to the pine plantation and its immediate surrounds by CFS fire crews. The fire will continue to produce significant smoke until late this evening which will impact on visibility around Broadview Road, Naracoorte Road, Cooper Road, Cadell Road, and My Mi Mi Road at Western Flat and The Gap.
The CFS currently has four fire trucks in attendance and are working to strengthen containment lines around the fire. The Western Flat fire currently does not pose a threat to the public but will be visible for the remainder of today.
