At 5:30pm this afternoon a grass fire was ignited by lightning near Broadview Track approximately 15km North West of Wilmington township in the Flinders Ranges.
There is currently no warning messages out for this fire but anyone within the area should stay informed in case the situation changes. The fire is currently approximately 70 Hectares in size.
CFS Firefighters, National Parks and Wildlife (NPWS) and local Farm Fire Units are currently working to extinguish the fire with support from four water bombing aircraft and two observation aircraft. Firefighters are expected to be working on this fire overnight.
There continues to be thunderstorms producing lightning in the area. If you see an unattended fire please report it by calling 000.
