Wistow Grass Fire

Issued for WISTOW near Petwood, 9km east of Mount Barker in the Mount Lofty Ranges.

The CFS is responding to a Grass Fire near Petwood, 9 km east of Mount Barker in the Mount Lofty Ranges, South Australia.

CFS volunteers on 20 fire trucks, supported by 5 waterboming aircraft and 2 observation helicopters, are working on scene to extinguish the fire.

The fire is currently contained to 33 hectares in grass and scrub.

Crews will remain on scene overnight, monitoring the fireground.

Smoke may impact local roads in the area, and visibility may be reduced. Please do not enter the area unless necessary to ensure your safety and that of firefighters and other emergency personnel working in the area..
