Scrub Fire at Woolmit (formerly Reedy Creek)
Issued for WOOLMIT at Woolmit Road approximately 30km south-east of Kingston in the Lower South East, South Australia.

Approximately 64 CFS firefighters, supported by National Parks and Wildlife Service personnel and Farm Fire Units, have been working throughout the day strengthening control lines around the fire to prevent it from spreading further. Control lines are barriers used to stop or prevent the spread of a fire.
Operations were also supported by 6 aircraft, including water bombers and observational aircraft.
CFS volunteers will continue to work on the fireground overnight.
An Incident Management Team (IMT) has been established in Kingston SE to support the Woolmit fire. An IMT is a team of trained people who work together to manage an incident, ensuring effective planning, resource allocation, and to keep both the public and responders safe.
Smoke is impacting roads in the area, and visibility may be reduced. To ensure your safety and that of firefighters and other emergency personnel who are working in the area, please do not enter the area unless necessary.
