Yalata Scrub Fires
Issued for Eyre Highway Yalata between Nundroo and Yalata in the far west of South Australia.
The CFS is responding to multiple scrub fires between the townships of Yalata and Nundroo, on the Eyre Highway in the far west of South Australia.
CFS volunteers on one truck, supported by community firefighting units, are currently working to extinguish the fires.
The fires are currently burning near the roadsides in scrub and are producing small amounts of smoke.
Emergency services may be working on and around roads in the area, and motorists are advised to stay away. If you need to travel on roads in the area, please take care and drive to the local conditions.
Smoke may impact roads in the area, and visibility may be reduced. To ensure your safety, and that of firefighters and other emergency personnel working in the area, please do not enter unless necessary.
