CFS advises that the hazard posed by a bushfire burning near Clare in the Clare Valley has eased overnight. Windier conditions are forecast from around daybreak today and this may result in a possible increase in fire activity, which in turn may threaten your safety. CFS crews will remain on the fire ground throughout the day and will respond to any active fire whilst continuing to patrol the area. Residents in the area are advised to remain vigilant during the day and continue to check and follow your Bushfire Survival Plan as conditions may change.To ensure your safety, that of firefighters and other emergency personnel who are working in the area, please do not enter the area unless necessary. Hazards may include reduced visibility due to smoke, fallen trees blocking roads and emergency vehicles operating in the area. If you are not prepared, leave now. Only leave if the path is clear to a safer place.
