Fire Destroys Goolwa Holiday Home

Just before 330am this morning SA Country Fire Service (CFS) firefighters were alerted by a local resident of a fire burning on the front verandah of a home on Clarke Street Goolwa, near Victor Harbor on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
On arrival fire fighters from two appliance found the home fully ablaze and quickly upgraded to call responding a further two appliance and a bulk water carrier.
It is believed the home is used as a holiday house and no one was holidaying or living in the home when the fire started.
Unfortunately and despite the best efforts of more than 20 firefighters the home has been fully destroyed.
FIre Cause Investigators have been requested to attend and will be on sights early this morning. At this stage no dollar damage estimates have been set.
SA Ambulance and SA Police were also on scene.
