EMERGENCY WARNING FOR A BUSHFIRE BURNING UNDER SEVERE WEATHER CONDITIONS

Issued for Worlds End

CFS advises that a serious bushfire is burning out of control at Worlds End in the Mid North, near Burra, near Worlds End Gorge Rd, Worlds End Highway, Bundey Church Rd, Eagle Hawk Gate Rd and Powerline Rd.

If you are in this area you are in danger. There is a risk to your life and property.

Act now. Only leave if the path is clear to a safer place. If you can't leave, take shelter in a solid building and actively defend it.

The WORLDS END fire is travelling in a South Easterly and Easterly direction towards Worlds End, Burra Creek, Bright and Hallelujah Hills and surrounds.

The fire is uncontrolled and burning in Stubble. You should not enter this area as the roads may not be safe.

Well prepared and actively defended homes can offer safety.

Check and follow your Bushfire Survival Plan. If you don't have a plan, take shelter before the fire arrives as heat from the fire can kill you well before the flames reach you.

If the building catches fire, you need to get out and go to an area that has already been burnt. After the fire has passed, check around you and put out anything burning.
