House fire in Mimili - 9 June 2024
At approximately 11:30pm yesterday evening, CFS firefighters were responded to reports of a structure and vehicle fire in Mimili, of the APY lands in the northwest of the state.
When the crew arrived on the scene, two vehicles and a single-story dwelling were alight. Unfortunately, none could be saved, with an estimated damage bill in excess of $400,000.
The crew effectively prevented any further spread of fire from the property and will remain on site for some time to make sure the fire is fully extinguished.
No occupants were home at the time and SAPOL is currently on scene.
