Structure fire in Bridgewater - 31 August 2024

Approximately 40 CFS firefighters on 7 fire trucks attended a shed and caravan fire at around 10:45 this morning in Bridgewater, in the Adelaide Hills.

Crews arrived to find the structure and the caravan fully involved and employed fast, offensive firefighting strategies to suppress the fire. In doing so, firefighters effectively limited any further spread of fire within the property or to neighbouring properties. The damage to the impacted assets is estimated at $170,000.

SA Police and SA Ambulance have assisted firefighters on site and Fire Investigators have been notified. Three property occupants were assessed by SA Ambulance on site and no injuries have been reported.

Firefighters will remain on site for some time to mop up the area and render it safe.
