$250,000 house fire at Carrickalinga - 4 June 2023
CFS crews from Yankalilla, Myponga, Sellicks and Aldinga Beach were alerted to a fire in a house on Carrickalinga road at 3:10am this morning. On arrival, CFS volunteer firefighters on six trucks found the single-story house fully involved. The hard work of CFS crews prevented the spread of the fire, saving a neighbouring house.
The home was destroyed, with total losses estimated to be about $250,000.
The two occupants of the house, who were initially reported missing, were found by CFS volunteers outside the house and were transported to hospital by SA Ambulance crews.
CFS crews were also supported by SA Police.
The fire is being treated as suspicious and Fire Cause Investigators have been called to the scene.
