Car and caravan fire - 22 February 2025
Four CFS crews, with approximately 15 firefighters responded to a car and caravan fire reported along Augusta Highway in Baroota, approximately 30km north of Port Pirie.
Crews arrived to find the car and caravan located just off the highway fully engulfed in fire. Although crews managed to fully extinguish the blaze and prevent any further spread of fire, both vehicles were a total loss, with estimated damages of $220,000. CFS remain on site mopping up the area.
SA Police supported the CFS on site and Fire Investigators are scheduled to attend.
