Container fire in Kepa - 2 October 2024

CFS firefighters arrived just after 8:30 am at a shipping container fire at Kepa, located east of Murray Bridge.

The fire, likely caused by an overheated generator inside the container, prompted a response from 10 CFS firefighters on 2 trucks and a bulk-water carrier, supported by the Metropolitan Fire Service.

Thanks to their efforts, firefighters controlled the blaze within the container, safeguarding a nearby diesel tank and neighbouring properties, while limiting damages to an estimated $200,000.

Fire Investigators have been called to the scene.
