Gas leak at Nuriootpa - 19 September 2024
Three fire trucks with approximately 15 firefighters and a command vehicle responded to a gas leak at 11:42 am at the intersection of Moppa Road and Samuel Road, Nuriootpa in the Barossa Valley.
CFS firefighters remained on scene to continue dispersing the escaping gas and monitor the site until gas agency contractors could attend and isolate the leak.
Contractors have now halted the release of the gas and there is no further risk to the community.
All road restrictions in the area have now been lifted.
