Hay shed fire at Field - 2 December 2023
Just after 9am this morning, CFS crews were called to a hay shed fire on Yarindale Road at Field.
Approximately 20 firefighters, 3 fire trucks, and 1 bulk water carrier, are currently on the scene, with the assistance of SA Police.
The fire is within a large hay shed, containing approximately 2000 bales. Losses are expected to exceed $200,000.
The cause of the fire is not suspicious. CFS will remain on scene to monitor the fire, as the hay burns down, with crews to be rotated over the next 2 to 3 days.
