House destroyed by fire, Aberfoyle Park 8 January 2021 - Submission 18053-0

At around 7pm tonight CFS crews were alerted to a fire in the ceiling of a house by the occupants. All occupants of the house managed to evacuate safely.

Ten fire trucks from both the CFS and MFS attended along with 24 firefighters and upon arrival found the house fully engulfed in fire.

The house was destroyed, fortunately crews were able to stop the fire spreading to adjoining properties on either side.

Estimated damages is estimated to be over $400,000. Fire cause investigators will attend the scene tonight.
