House fire at Aldgate - 1 December 2023
CFS crews were called to a structure fire at an Aldgate property in the Adelaide Hills at around 6 am this morning.
Sixteen volunteers from four CFS crews attended the fire and were supported by SA Police and SA Ambulance.
Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the bathroom, laundry and associated roof space. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and successfully contained the fire from spreading further through the property.
The occupants of the house were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported. The cause is likely attributed to an electrical fault in the bathroom exhaust fan. Losses have been estimated at $50,000.
