House fire at Coromandel Valley

At 3.30pm on Sunday 13 June, CFS crews were alerted to a house fire on Main Road, Coromandel Valley.
Five trucks and 25 CFS firefighters responded to the call where on arrival they found black smoke and fire coming from the upper story of the building.
The quick work of crews saw the fire contained to the second floor however due to the roof partially collapsing, crews remain at the scene to ensure the fire is completely extinguished.
Residents in nearby areas should be advised that smoke will be visible for some time.
Main Road, Coromandel Valley also remains closed while emergency services are on scene.
There were no injuries sustained by those present at the time.
Fire cause investigators will attend the scene later this evening.
Estimated damages are approximately $150,000-200,000.
