House fire at Maitland - 15 July 2024

Five CFS crews have gained entrance, and used internal and external structural firefighting tactics, to extinguish a fire causing significant damage to a single-storey house in Maitland, on the Yorke Peninsula.

Thankfully residents were not home when the fire started. The blaze is expected to have ignited somewhere within the lounge or dining room and quickly engulfed the house causing a partial roof collapse. The property is significantly impacted with an estimated damage value of approximately $250,000. 

CFS crews remain on scene mopping up and ensuring the scene is safe. 

SA Ambulance are currently on scene to support. SA Police and Fire Cause have been called to the scene.
