House fire at Mangalo - 19 July 2021

Shortly before 5pm on Monday 19 July, CFS crews were alerted to a house fire on Mangalo Kielpa Road, Mangalo on the Eyre Peninsula.

Three trucks and around 15 firefighters from Cleve, Mangalo and Kimba CFS brigades responded to the call where on arrival they found a residential home completed engulfed in flames.

Due to the ferocity and size of the fire, there was nothing that could be done to save the property.

However, crews remained at the scene to stop the fire from spreading to any nearby assets or infrastructure.

No one was present at the time of the incident.  

Estimated losses at approximately $350,000.

Fire cause investigators will attend the scene tomorrow but the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
