House fire at Stonefield - 7 March 2022
CFS volunteers were called to a house fire on Stonefield Road, Stonefield in the Murraylands about 1:30 this afternoon.
Four CFS crews and a bulk water carrier responded to the fire in a 20-foot shipping container, which had been converted into a home. SA Ambulance and SA Police were also in attendance.
On arrival, volunteers found the house, which was heavily wired with solar panels, fully involved. Quick work by crews prevented the spread of the fire to an adjacent caravan. Thankfully no one was home at the time of the fire.
Losses are expected to be up to $60,000.
