House Fire in Angle Vale - 8 June 2024

At 3:45am approximately 20 CFS firefighters on three trucks and a command car responded to multiple triple-0 calls for a house fire at Angle Vale north of Adelaide.

Upon arrival they noticed the fire emanating from a storage room at the rear of the single storey home.

The occupants had safely evacuated with their four dogs, and they also managed to shut the bedroom door, thereby preventing the fire from spreading much quicker to the rest of the house.

CFS crews extinguished the fire in less than an hour and the damage bill is estimated at $40,000- however it could have been worse. The house was spared saving the owners an additional $300,000 in damages.

The cause of the fire is believed to be a lithium ion battery that was charging and caught alight.
