House fire in Two Wells - 6 December 2024
Eight CFS crews and two MFS crews have saved two of the family's pet dogs from a house fire at a heritage listed home in Two Wells, approximately 40km North of Adelaide.
At approximately 8:20 am this morning, a working fire alarm alerted the residents to the fire and they safely exited the home. Firefighters saved two of the family's eight dogs from the house that was already fully involved when crews arrived on scene. The other six dogs have been accounted for around the property.
The fire has collapsed the roof of the house which is estimated to be more than 100 years old. The house has been totally destroyed with an estimated damage amount of $600,000.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown and fire cause have been alerted. SA Police and SA Ambulance are also on scene supporting firefighters.
