House fire in Wellington East - 12 October 2024
Shortly before 5:30 am, CFS firefighters responded to a house fire in Wellington East, located south-east of Murray Bridge.
Twenty firefighters attended the house fire on 4 trucks and 1 bulk-water carrier, supported by SA Police.
The fire caused an estimated $150,000 in damages and spread to a vehicle, but their prompt response contained it to the transportable, saving a caravan and shed on the property.
Crews will remain on scene extinguishing any smouldering areas for some time.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and Fire Investigators have been called to the scene.
