Kitchen fire in Hahndorf - 18 October 2025

At approximately 11:20 am, CFS was called to a kitchen fire in Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills.

The fire, which originated in the kitchen, prompted a swift response from 25 CFS firefighters on 6 trucks, supported by SA Police, SA Ambulance Service, and SA Power Networks.

Despite causing an estimated $100,000 in damage to the kitchen, firefighters successfully contained the fire, preventing it from spreading to other parts of the property.

Our volunteer firefighters will remain on site to check the roof and crawl spaces, monitor for hot spots, and extinguish any smouldering areas.

Thankfully, all occupants were able to evacuate, with SA Ambulance Paramedics treating them for smoke inhalation.
