Miltalie Tractor Fire - 28 May 2024
At just before 6pm, 10 firefighters on two trucks and a bulk water carrier responded to a tractor fire, which had been seeding in an open paddock at Miltalie, north-east of Cleve on the Eastern Eyre Peninsula. The driver managed to flee the cab and attempted to extinguish the fire prior to crews arriving. Firefighters eventually put out the blaze and stayed on scene to ensure it was fully extinguished. The cause was believed to be an electrical fault and damages are estimated at approximately $150,000.
