Seddon Fire - 29 May 2024
In the aftermath of a grass fire earlier today at Seddon, near Parndana on Kangaroo Island, CFS crews have since found the fire destroyed a tractor and wool bales.
The fire started at 1:30pm at a property on Gregor Road and is believed to have been caused by a previous burn off reigniting and spreading into scrubland.
Approximately 12 firefighters, supported by local Farm Firefighting Units and two CFS firebombing aircraft, managed to prevent the fire from impacting a farmhouse, shearing shed and nearby cattle yards.
The damage bill of the tractor and wool bales is estimated at $100,000.
