Shed fire in Ettrick - 6 January 2025
Firefighters have saved a shed and house from catching alight on a property in Ettrick, 32 KM East of Murray Bridge.
10 CFS crews supported by 2 MFS crews have contained the fire, which has impacted on lithium batteries powering solar panels, a truck body and one of the sheds located on the property. Stored in the impacted shed was a motorcycle, fuel and other miscellaneous items. The batteries, truck body and shed were completely engulfed when firefighters arrived on scene with an estimated damage bill of $100,000.
Due to quick action from crews a second adjoining shed and the house, which was approximately 50 metres away, have not been impacted by the fire.
SA Police and SA Ambulance are on scene supporting firefighters. Local fire investigators have been notified.
