Shed fire in Penfield - 10 January 2025

Ten volunteer CFS firefighters were called to a shed fire in Penfield, Adelaide’s northern suburbs, just after 11:00 pm on Thursday, 9 January.

In a joint response, CFS and Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) firefighters worked together on 4 trucks alongside the South Australian Police (SA Police) to manage the blaze.

The fire moved from the shed and started a small grass fire on the property, but thanks to the quick actions of the crews, it was contained before it could spread further.

Firefighters worked more than 2 hours to extinguish the fire, which destroyed the 20m x 10m shed and 2 vehicles.

The damage is estimated at $100,000, and Fire Investigators have been called to the scene.
