Structure fire at MacDonald Park - 5 July 2025
At 2.30 am two CFS trucks carrying approximately 10 volunteer firefighters responded to Triple Zero to attend a fire in a transportable home at Julian Road in MacDonald Park in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.
Upon arrival, volunteers found the transportable home fully engulfed by a fire which had started beneath the structure and extended into the property’s roof space.
The occupant of the home had exited the building without injury.
Firefighters took an hour to extinguish the blaze.
The home has been destroyed, with damage estimated at approximately $450,000.
Firefighters were, however, able to prevent the fire from spreading to a ‘granny flat’ near the transportable home.
CFS volunteers were supported by 13 South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service firefighters, while SA Police and SA Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
Fire Cause are investigating.
