Structure fire in Virginia - 29 December 2024
CFS crews were called to a structure fire at a commercial property in Virginia on the Northern Adelaide Plains, approximately 25km north of Adelaide just before 5am this morning.
Five CFS crews with approximately twenty firefighters arrived to find fire issuing from the rear and kitchen of the commercial property. Firefighters contained the fire to the kitchen, effectively preventing the spread into any adjoining commercial businesses, however the impacts of heat, smoke and water damage has caused an estimated $200,000 worth of losses.
No persons were present on site at the time of the incident and no injuries have been reported. The CFS were supported on site by SA Police and SA Ambulance, SA Power Networks and SA Water. Fire Investigators will be attending to determine the cause.
