House fire on Yorke Peninsula - 19 June 2024

At approximately 6:30pm on Wednesday 19 June, CFS firefighters, supported by SA Police and SA Ambulance Service, were called to a two-storey house fire on the Yorke Peninsula.

Twenty-five CFS firefighters on 5 trucks attended the scene and responded to the fully involved house fire with estimated losses of $450,000.

While the house was destroyed, CFS crew members worked defensively and were able to prevent the fire from spreading to neighbouring properties.

Thankfully, the occupants were not home at the time.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and Fire Investigators will attend tomorrow morning.
