Tractor fire at Port MacDonnell - 15 November 2024

Shortly after 9:30 am, approximately six CFS firefighters responded with two trucks to a tractor fire in Port MacDonnell, located 28 km south of Mount Gambier in the state’s Limestone Coast region.

The fire is believed to have started in the engine bay while the tractor was travelling down the road.

Despite the firefighters' quick response in containing the blaze and preventing it from spreading to surrounding areas, the tractor was a total loss, with damages estimated at $75,000
