Structure fire at Port Elliot - 17 April 2025

Seven appliances carrying approximately 35 firefighters responded to Triple O to attend a structure fire at a commercial premises at Hill Street in Port Elliot on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Upon arrival just after midnight, firefighters found the structure, which was a shed, well involved and set about containing the fire to the premises involved.

Utilising breathing apparatus, firefighters worked hard to contain the fire and to prevent it from spreading into other nearby businesses.

SA MFS, SA Police and SA Ambulance all attended in support of this incident.

However, unfortunately, firefighters could not prevent the building from being destroyed by the fire and damage exceeding $1m was caused to the property hire and gym business located within.

Fire Investigators have been notified and will attend.
