House fire at Meningie - 19 September 2025
CFS firefighters responded to a house fire in Meningie, south of Murray Bridge in the state’s Murray region, at around 3:45 pm.
Approximately 20 firefighters and five trucks attended, with support from SA Ambulance and SA Police.
Volunteers wearing breathing apparatus used defensive tactics to prevent the fire from spreading to neighbouring properties.
Crews remain on site to ensure any smouldering areas are fully extinguished.
The house has been destroyed, with estimated damage of $500,000. Fire Investigators are scheduled to arrive later this evening.
