$250,000 structure fire at Wallaroo Mines - 16 February 2023

At 4:34am this morning, CFS were alerted to reports of a structure fire on Downer Road, Wallaroo Mines.

Upon arrival, CFS crews found the old stone cottage fully engulfed in flames. 16 CFS crew on three trucks, supported by MFS, worked quickly to bring the fire under control and stop it spreading.

Thankfully the property was unoccupied at the time, and no one was injured.

SA Police and Fire Cause Investigation have been requested to attend to the scene.

Damages are estimated at $250,000.
