Chemical spill in Wandilo - 7 March 2025

Around 10:00 PM, approximately 12 CFS firefighters were called to a chemical spill on the Princes Highway at Wandilo, located 13 km north of Mount Gambier, South Australia.

CFS firefighters responded with 3 trucks, working alongside the SA Metropolitan Fire Service and SA State Emergency Service, to a chemical spill from a 200 L barrel drum along the highway.

Firefighters conducted testing to confirm the incident was safe and prevented the epoxy hardener from spilling further onto the roadside verge. Emergency services are still on-site managing the clean-up.

If you need to travel on the Princes Highway in the area, please take care and drive to the local conditions.
