Hazardous material incident at Oakbank - 15 September 2025

CFS specialist Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) truck with 6 firefighters have attended a hydrochloric acid spill which impacted one person in Oakbank, located in the Adelaide Hills.

The person impacted has been taken to hospital as a precaution with no one else affected by the spill. The chemical was diluted and had been cleaned up by the time firefighters arrived on scene. 

The area has been assessed by CFS Specialist crews and deemed safe.
