Structure fire at Meadows - 10 April 2025

Shortly after 1:20 am, CFS firefighters responded to a structure fire at Meadows in the Adelaide Hills.

Approximately 40 CFS firefighters with 10 trucks worked alongside the Metropolitan Fire Service, with support from the SA Ambulance Service, in a coordinated effort to extinguish the fire at a commercial building.

Volunteer firefighters wearing breathing apparatus prevented the fire from spreading, which could have caused much greater damage to the business and neighbouring properties.

Breathing apparatus is worn by firefighters to help them breathe in hazardous situations, such as smoke-filled areas or places with insufficient oxygen. It supplies clean air for firefighters while they work to extinguish the fire.

The estimated damage is likely in excess of $500,000, and Fire Investigators have been requested to attend the site.
